3. Komondor

The Komondor, or Hungarian Sheepdog, is unmistakable with its massive, corded coat resembling dreadlocks. These large, powerful dogs were originally bred to guard livestock. Their unique coat provides protection against predators and harsh weather. Despite their imposing size, Komondors are gentle and patient with their families. Their cords require special grooming to maintain. They are intelligent but independent, needing consistent training and an experienced owner.
