2. Nothing to See Here...

You do not need to be a detective to guess what happened here. Someone left pastries unattended and returned to find tiny paw prints stamped into them. While we are not blaming the cat the evidence is quite clear. Thankfully it seems only two pastries were stepped on. From this photo we cannot be sure what else befell the treats. The humor works because the crime scene is so polite. No shredded box no broken plate just two perfect impressions like a signature. The cat posture radiates unbothered confidence, a look that says the pastry surface was simply the most convenient walkway available. You can almost reconstruct the timeline. Aroma detected. Jump executed. Survey complete. Departure silent. Now the humans debate salvage rules while wondering whether baking again is faster than negotiating shared ownership with a feline housemate. The untouched pastries feel suspicious by association. Do you still serve them or retire the whole batch as evidence. It is a miniature domestic mystery with only one suspect who clearly refuses counsel.
