6. Live, Love, Rave

This image is a bit unsettling and quick searches do not reveal much. It appears to be a camera trap capture of two deer competing over scattered corn or feed. As for the cats and the glowing eyes in the deeper background interpretation is open. The pattern of luminous dots makes the clearing resemble a secret nocturnal assembly or woodland rave scene. The absence of color and reliance on flash flatten depth and push everything into a surreal tableau. The more you study it the more micro stories appear. Are the cats opportunists waiting for stray kernels. Are some of the eyes raccoons or another species. Your brain tries clustering them into roles. Dancers. Spectators. Security. The humor springs from giving social structure to random night foraging. The logical explanation is mundane overlapping feeding behaviors captured at once. Yet imagination upgrades it into a clandestine multi species summit. The photo becomes a reminder that night ecology is dense with parallel agendas we rarely witness. A single infrared burst pauses the choreography and we project culture onto it because pattern seeking is what we do best.
